I Believe Everyone Is Psychic. Here's How I Found Out I Was Too.

I believe everyone is psychic. Not just the ones born into it. Not just the ones who grew up surrounded by it. Everyone.

I say that with full conviction because I lived it. I grew up inside a world where psychic ability was as normal as the morning news, and I still spent decades disconnected from my own.

The House I Grew Up In

My mother was a well-known psychic in the 90s. She helped the local police force, read celebrities and politicians, hosted a radio show and had TV commercials. The word psychic wasn't mysterious in our home. It was just Tuesday.

But our house didn't feel like a home. Not really.

My mother was a famous, busy, completely emotionally unavailable narcissist. Poor mom, so much unhealed trauma. The last thing on her mind was parenting.  Yet, I was fascinated by what my mother, grandmother and aunts could do. So naturally, I asked a lot of questions and wanted to learn how to keep the family gift going. My chldhood didn't allow for that knowledge to come through. That didn't stop me from constantly feeling a kind of energy around me, a presence I couldn't explain, like I was never quite alone.

Outside the house wasn't any easier. This was the 90s. Being psychic was still deeply taboo. Kids at school called my mom a psycho and a fraud. Making friends was challenging. The shame I carried around my own family made me want to run from this world, not toward it.

So I shut the door on it. And my curiosity sat quietly behind that door for years.

The Moments That Refused to Be Ignored

Throughout my life, things happened that I couldn't explain away. Dreams that played out in real life. Thoughts that became reality right before my eyes. Each time something stirred in me. A knowing. A quiet voice saying, "it's in me, I just didn't know how to access it or what to do with it.'

It wasn't until I became a mother that everything began to crack open.

Rock Bottom Was the Beginning

In 2016 I gave birth to my son after a difficult and painful pregnancy. Not long after I became pregnant with my daughter. Following her birth I experienced severe postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety and postpartum rage. I was in survival mode, struggling to function, struggling to be the mother I desperately wanted to be.

It was also the beginning of the most profound spiritual awakening of my life.

I had already discovered that plant medicine was reaching places that no prescription medication ever had. Decades of anxiety, depression, PTSD and chronic pain had followed me everywhere, and for the first time something was actually moving. Plant medicine opened a door in me and I walked through it. It made me willing to believe that healing could go deeper than I had ever imagined.

I knew I could not keep suffering. I had two children who needed a present, grounded, loving mother. I was driven to break every cycle I had grown up inside of. That desire became the most powerful force in my healing.

The Session That Changed Everything

In 2020 my best friend gifted me my first energy healing session. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced. I felt immediate relief, a kind of release I had no words for, and I knew in my body that I needed to learn how to do this for myself and for others.

In 2021 I completed my quantum energy healing certification. And that is when my psychic abilities came fully online.

I truly believe what unlocked them was the depth of the healing work itself. I had gone deep into my own subconscious, into my ancestral lineage, clearing out generations of beliefs, patterns and survival behaviors that had been sitting on top of my intuition like a lid. I learned how to trust myself. I learned how to be playful with intuition. And with the pattern breaking exercises I was doing outside of this certficaiton, I was a forced to be reckoned with. When that weight lifted, everything I had always carried but never been able to access came through with stunning clarity.

The abilities were always there. The healing just made room for them.
